ACT Blade – Making Wind the Cleanest Renewable Energy Source ACT Blade is a UK-based cleantech company transforming wind energy through patented, lightweight and modular wind turbine blades. Its breakthrough technology combines advanced composite structures with engineered textiles, delivering blades up to 32% lighter than conventional alternatives, increasing energy production while reducing manufacturing costs and environmental impact. With operations in the UK and Italy, ACT Blade initially targets the rapidly growing wind turbine life-extension and repowering markets, with plans to expand into new onshore and offshore applications. Its first commercial product, the ACT100, a 49.2-metre blade, has achieved internationally recognised certification and is currently undergoing a Proof of Concept (PoC) demonstration with a major energy operator. ACT Blade is seeking €5 million in investment to accelerate industrialisation, commercial deployment and international expansion, positioning the company to become a leading independent manufacturer of next-generation wind turbine blades.
