Percy Roc – Intelligent Industrial Microwave Drying Solutions Percy Roc AB is a Swedish deep-tech company and spin-off from Ångström Laboratory at Uppsala University, founded in 2018. Combining high-power solid-state microwave technology, AI-driven control, and embedded computing, Percy Roc develops next-generation industrial microwave drying and heating systems for energy-intensive manufacturing. Our primary focus is on industrial microwave dryers for battery electrode production, enabling faster, more energy-efficient, and precisely controlled drying processes compared with conventional hot-air drying. Our modular and scalable technology delivers targeted volumetric heating, reducing energy consumption, processing times, and the physical footprint of industrial drying lines. Beyond battery manufacturing, our solutions address applications in composite materials, mineral extraction, and mining. Percy Roc is supported by EIT InnoEnergy, Uppsala Innovation Centre (UIC), ESA Business Incubation Centre (ESA BIC), and Vinnova, and is a member of Batteries Sweden – an Alliance for Ultrahigh Performance Batteries.
