Florian Reuter has been CEO of DB Energie GmbH since May 1, 2024.
After studying industrial engineering with a focus on business planning at the University of Karlsruhe (TH), Florian Reuter worked for a Hamburg-based management consultancy from 2005 to 2009 on international projects, primarily in Southeast Asia and the USA. From 2009 to 2014, he then worked as a venture manager in the central research department at Siemens AG in Munich, where he was responsible for establishing technology companies. Before joining DB Energie GmbH, Florian Reuter was Managing Director of the German aviation company Volocopter GmbH from 2015 to 2022. Volocopter GmbH develops, certifies, and operates innovative, all-electric aircraft for the transport of people and goods. There, his responsibilities included strategic direction, organizational structure, product development, and fundraising. He represents DB Energie, among other things, as a board member of the Forum for Future Energies e.V. in Berlin.
